Meteors week ends with three loses 

Tanner Brown of the Niagara Falls Canucks and Garrett Jennings of the Fort Erie Meteor clash for control of a loose puck in GOJHL hockey action Saturday in Fort Erie.

The Fort Erie Meteors have had a rough week this week losing all three of their three starts in Golden Horseshoe Division hockey action.

The Niagara Falls Canucks shut the Meteors out 3 – 0 Saturday Dec. 9/2017 at the Leisureplex. The three Niagara Falls Canucks goals came from: Matt Baumann, Michael Arch and Noah Boman.

Earlier in the week, they fell 2 – 1 to the Blackhawks in Thorold Thursday Dec. 7/2017. Goal scorers from Thorold were: Matt Maidens and Spencer Blackwell. Fort Erie’s goal came from Marco Lariccia.

Last Saturday Dec. 2/2017 the Meteors hosted the St. Catharines Falcons who went home with a 6 – 1 win.

The St. Catharines goal scorers were Jaleel Adams for two, Noah Perlic, Lucas Smilsky, Zach Lawrence, and Tanner Ferreira.

Fort Erie’s lone goal came from Tanner Lynds.

The Meteors will be back in Thorold to face the Blackhawks on Thursday Dec. 14/2017. They will be on home ice again Saturday Dec. 16/2017 against the Pelham Panthers at 7:15 p.m., then in Welland against the Junior Canadians on Sunday Dec. 17/2017.
