Missing lifesaving equipment recovered

A missing piece of lifesaving equipment has been recovered and returned to the Fort Erie Fire and Emergency services department.

A press release from the Niagara Regional Police Services (NRPS) earlier this week said the piece of equipment was taken from the station house in Stevensville in late January/early February.

The NRPS recovered the Hurst Extractor known as the “Jaws of Life” on Wednesday Mar. 14/2018.

“The property has since been returned to the Fort Erie Fire Department,” the NRPS said in a press release. “No criminal charges are pending in this matter.”
