NRPS investigating suspicious St. Catharines death

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is investigating a suspicious death in St. Catharines that took place early in the morning Friday Apr. 13/2018.

A NRPS press release issued Friday said that officers were called to attend an area on Queenston St. between Calvin St. and Church St. at about 1:20 a.m.

“A member of the public had been walking in the area when they discovered an injured male lying on the sidewalk,” the press release said.

“The male was treated at the scene by paramedics from Niagara Emergency Medical Service and transported to a local hospital,” the release said. “The male died at the hospital.”

The NRPS are treating the death as suspicious, investigation continued Friday with ground searches and canvassing of the neighbourhood.

The release says that the identity of the deceased male has not been determined.

The NRPS is appealing to the public, anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 905 688 4111, ext. 4322.
