Port Firefighters Easter Food Drive This Saturday at Sobeys

Port Colborne Fire Department is teaming up with Sobeys in Port Colborne for an Easter Food Drive to support Port Cares Reach Out Centre and Foodbank. This Saturday, April 15 from 8am to 4pm you can stop by the Sobey’s West Side Road Store.

The most needed items required are fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, fresh and canned meat, eggs, rice, baby formula baby food, peanut butter, baked beans, powdered milk, large juice bottles, pasta and sauce, deodorant, shampoo and soap. Donations can be dropped off at the location. The Port Colborne firefighters will be grilling up hamburgers and hotdogs for a cash donation to Port Cares. All of the food and drinks for the barbecue have been donated by Sobeys. This year Music and Performance Niagara will have students performing during the event.

Last year more than 1,500 pounds of food and $4,500.00 were collected to support Port Cares,” said Karin DiBiase, Supervisor, Fundraising and Development. “Thank you for doing this for us!”
