Wainfleet man charged with dangerous driving

On Wednesday November 1, 2017 officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service 6 District uniform branch responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Lakeshore Rd. and Station Rd. in the Township of Wainfleet.

On arrival it was quickly determined that the collision was a result of one motor vehicle being intentionally struck by a second vehicle several times. The two vehicles involved were rendered inoperable as a result of the impacts. The complainant in the matter was 9 months pregnant and transported to hospital for observation with no reported injuries.

Located at the scene and arrested was John McAdam. He was transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries then released into police custody.

John McAdam, 60-years-old, from Wainfleet was held pending a bail hearing on November 2, 2017 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse at 59 Church Street, St. Catharines and facing the following charges

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Uttering Threats of Death
  • Assaulting a Police Officer with a Weapon (3 Counts)
