Welland garage fire spreads to neighbouring house

A fire that broke out in the garage of a Bradley Ave. residence spread to a Sauer Ave. residence in Welland Saturday Sept. 2/2017.

Welland Fire and Emergency Services Chief Brian Kennedy said in an email with Erie Media that the garage fire was at 150 Bradley Ave. and extended to the neighbours home at 47 Sauer Ave.

There were no injuries in the fire.

Firefighters were on scene at approximately 4 p.m.

“The damage is quickly approaching $500,000,” Chief Brian Kennedy said. “The garage and contents are a total write off.”

The investigation is continuing into the cause and the complete extent of the fire.
