One win/one loss for Panthers this week

Pelham Panthers LogoThe Pelham Panthers have had one win and one loss in GOJHL hockey action this week.

In St. Catharines Friday Feb. 9/2018 the Panthers won 4 – 3 in the second overtime period over the St. Catharines Falcons.

Each team scored one each in the first period. St. Catharines out – scored Pelham 2 – 1 in the second to give them a 3 – 2 lead. Pelham tied the game in the last minute of the third with an extra attacker on the ice forcing the overtime periods.

The goal scorers from St. Catharines were: Michael Davies for two and Dakota Miskolczi. For Pelham the goal scorers were; Jared Hill, Chris Webber, Trevor Meecham and Thomas Young with the game winner.

In action Sunday Feb. 11/2018 the Ancaster Avalanche beat Pelham 5 – 1 in Pelham. Pelham’s lone goal came from Thomas Young.

The Pelham Panthers are holding the sixth place position in the Golden Horseshoe Division, the Ancaster Avalanche and the St. Catharines Falcons are tied for second. For current statistics see the GOJHL website: http://pointstreaksites.com/view/gojhl .

The Pelham Panthers will be facing the Thorold Blackhawks Thursday Feb. 15/2018 in Thorold, then they will face the Buffalo Regals on Sunday Feb. 18/2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the Pelham Arena.
