Help the City of St. Catharines celebrate arts in the community by nominating a local artist or arts champion in one of five award categories.

“The Arts Awards recognize the special energy arts and culture bring to our community,” said Rebecca Cann, the City of St. Catharines’ cultural services supervisor. “We want to celebrate the outstanding talent and contributors that make St. Catharines an energetic and dynamic place to be.”
Local artists, residents, businesses and organizations are eligible to be nominated for the following categories:
- The Arts in Education Award
- The Emerging Artist Award (recognizing two recipients)
- The Established Artist Award
- The Making a Difference Award
- The Patron of the Arts Award
Nominees must be St. Catharines residents or have been active in the arts of St. Catharines consistently over an extended period of time.
Nominations are due at midnight on Sunday, Feb. 5.
The St. Catharines Arts Awards will be celebrated on Monday, June 5 in the Cairns Recital Hall at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
Since their start in 2005, the Arts Awards have celebrated St. Catharines’ artists and cultural industries, honoured cultural leaders and their achievements, and encouraged support for the arts sector. Arts Award recipients reflect St. Catharines’ breadth of talent and commitment to the arts.
