Avalanche roll out of Pelham with 6 – 3 win

Pelham Panthers LogoAfter winning a tough game in Fort Erie Saturday night, the Pelham Panthers found themselves behind at the scoreboard when the Ancaster Avalanche came to town Sunday Dec. 17/2017. The Avalanche took home a 6 – 3 win.

The first period ended in a 1 – 1 tie. Ancaster’s Nicholas Breault scored their goal at 11:36, assisted by Kyle Kennery and Tanner Brennecke. Thomas Young scored Pelham’s goal at 13:02, assists went to Jared Hill and Chris Webber.

The second period turned into a bit of a scoring melee for Ancaster as they scored five in a row to Pelham’s one.

Nicholas Breault scored his second of the game for Ancaster at 4:16 assisted by Dirk Stadig and Graydon James. Benjamin Woodhouse connected at 5:51 assisted by Luke Croucher and Derek Raposo. Kyle Kennery added his goal at 8:43 assisted by Graydon James and Brady Ruhterford. Graydon James then connected at 9:28 assisted by Brady Rutherford and Dirk Stadig. Dirk Stadig then added the fifth of the period and the sixth of the game for Ancaster on the power play at 15:59 assisted by Graydon James and Benjamin Hatanaka.

Matt Ruigrok added Pelham’s second goal of the game short-handed and unassisted at 18:46.

In the third period, only one goal was scored, Pelham’s Thomas Young found the mark at 18:58 assisted by Trevor Meecham and Matt Ruigrok.

The games three stars were: Nicholas Breault of Ancaster, Thomas Young of Pelham and Benjamin Woodhouse of Ancaster.

Pelham’s last action before Christmas break is Saturday Dec. 23/2017 at 7:15 p.m. in Fort Erie against the Meteors. Their first game back in the New Year they will face the Buffalo Regals in Pelham on Friday Jan 5/2018 at 7:30 p.m.
