Desjardins caisse populaire locked down
A man wearing a black mask and armed with a knife robbed Desjardins caisse populaire in Port Colborne Wednesday afternoon, said Niagara Regional Police.
Police were called to the bank, 57 Clarence St., at 1:49 p.m. and said no one was injured during the robbery.
A K9 officer and his service dog were searching downtown Port Colborne along with patrol officers, and the bank was closed, with police tape around the front.
Police said the man, wearing a black mask with dark clothing carrying a black bag, left with an undisclosed amount of cash after brandishing a knife.
The suspect was last seen running through an alley towards rear parking lot of the bank.
