Become a vendor for new ‘Winter at the Market’ series

City of St. Catharines press release – The St. Catharines Farmers’ Market is looking for vendors for a new one-stop-shop holiday market from Oct. 22 to Dec. 19/2019.

Winter at the Market will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Market Square (91 King St.) in downtown. Artisans, resellers, homemade items, arts and crafts, food and beverage vendors are invited to apply by this Friday, Oct. 4.

“We are excited and looking forward to our new holiday market,” said Deanna Chakarova, community and market coordinator. “We saw a need for a specialized market close to the holiday season and thought this would be a great opportunity for vendors.”

Each stall is $189 (includes HST) and if applicable, an additional 15% hydro fee. Vendors must be available both Tuesdays and Thursdays to apply.

“One of the main philosophies of the market is buy local, eat fresh, and this is just another way to support buying local and building a sustainable community,” said Chakarova. “It will offer market patrons another element when they browse vendors’ great offerings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.”

The St. Catharines Farmers’ Market will still run on its regular days of Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. Winter at the Market vendors will sell their creations alongside the regular Tuesday and Thursday farmers’ market vendors.

Submit an online application for the Winter at the Market series before 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 at www.stcatharines.ca/marketevents.
