Comedy night raising funds to help homeless veterans

Our Canadian veterans need your help, you can help by attending the Sir Laughs A-Lot Comedy Night Saturday, Jan. 18/2020, at the Greg Frewin Theatre in Niagara Falls, ON.

The event is raising funds for the Veterans Emergency Transitions Service (VETS) Canada. This service helps support Canadian veterans who are in need of shelter and food while they await transition into Veterans Affairs Canada programs.

“VETS Canada helped me when I needed help, comedy night organizer/host Garrick Halinen said.

“It was an eyeopener of what they do on a national scale,” he said. “They help veterans day-to-day from coast to coast of Canada.”

“They helped me and now I want to pay it forward,” he said.

Halinen is a combat arms veteran with over 18 years of Canadian military service including overseas duty.

The evening’s family-friendly entertainment features the comedy of: Victor J. Hanson, Jim McAleese, David Green and Tony Molesworth.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Greg Frewin Theatre, 5781 Ellen Ave., Niagara Falls, ON. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or in advanced through the Greg Frewin Theatre website: https://gregfrewintheatre.com/sir-laughs-a-lot-comedy-night-for-veterans.html .
