Witness as ten acrobats show what it means to be human, an Australian contemporary circus company is presenting Humans by C!RCA Thursday, Jan. 16/2020 at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre (PAC) Partridge Hall in St. Catharines.
“A gigantic hit across 34 countries, C!RCA’s edgy, athletic and refreshing take on contemporary circus arrives in Partridge Hall on Thursday, January 16, at 7:30 p.m.,” a FirstOntario PAC press release said.
“Created by circus visionary Yaron Lifschitz, the stage is stripped bare as the vulnerability of a team of highly skilled acrobats is exposed. With incredible strength and integrity, they connect each moment seamlessly with the next in a thrilling and heart-stopping performance,” the release says.
“C!RCA might just be the most in-demand Australian arts company in the world right now with a touring schedule that would send most heads spinning, it’s not hard to see why. C!RCA‘s reputation for the fearless, boundary-pushing new circus is borne out in every one of their shows, which combine physical virtuosity with an expressive humanism. C!RCA combines the sensibility and aesthetic of contemporary dance and theatre with phenomenal acrobatic prowess. Extreme acrobatics reveal a fierce humanity in this stirring celebration of being human,” the release says.
