Dust off your denim and cowboy boots, the community needs your support

Its time for the fourth annual Pelham Cares Diamonds & Denim fundraising event. The event helps Pelham Cares to help people in need in the community.

“This is the one fundraising event held by Pelham Cares each year, “ Client services coordinator Lori Grande said. “Funds raised support our 3 major programs; Food Bank, Transportation to Medical Appointments and Youth Sponsorship for Sports, Recreation and Educational Activities.”

“Pelham Cares’ food bank assists over 50 families each month, many of whom are children and seniors.  And our volunteer drivers will provide rides to over 350 medical appointments this year,” she said. “Other supports include back-to-school backpacks & supplies, holiday hampers, and referrals to other agencies as needed.:

The annual fundraiser takes place on Saturday, Sept. 14/2019. The event starts at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and entertainment begins at 8:30 p.m.

“This event raised over $17,000 last year, and is expected to be a sell-out again this year,” Grande said.

This year’s entertainment is Elton Lammie and the Elton Lammie Band.

There’s also a silent auction, cash bar, and 50/50 draw.

Tickets are $50 each, contact Pelham Cares at 905 892 5300 or email info@pelhamcares.org.
