Drugs, money and guns seized in St. Catharines investigation

The Niagara Regional Police Service were involved in an investigation for the past several months of a St. Catharines man involved in suspected drug sales.

The investigation resulted in his arrest on Jan. 10/2018.

“Police searched this male’s vehicles, residence and a storage unit linked to him,” a Niagara Regional Police Service press release said.

“As a result of these searches, Police seized approximately $25,000 believed to be proceeds of drug sales, as well as an assault style rifle with magazines,” the release said. “Police also seized a hand gun magazine with 9mm bullets. This magazine was equipped to hold 15 bullets making it a prohibited device.”

Adrian Selman, 43, of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device
  • Possession of a Firearm (Non Restricted)
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm

Selman is being held in custody pending a Jan. 11/2018 bail hearing
