Fort Erie Meteors battled the Pelham Panthers for 3-0 win

The Pelham Panthers and the Fort Erie Meteors battled hard in GOJHL Junior B action Friday night but, in the end it was the Meteors who won 3-0.

The first period saw no scoring for either side as Fort Erie outshot Pelham 11-8.

Anthony Passero scored the first Meteor goal at 8:00 in the second period, assisted by Bryce Martin and Holden Garlent. Danial Singer scored their second goal unassisted at 16:04. Troy Henley scored their third goal at 6:41 in the third period, assisted by Holden Garlent and Anthony Passero.

Ultimately Fort Erie outshot Pelham 38-25 and both teams had three minor penalties each throughout the game.

Currently the Pelham Panthers hold the last place position in the Golden Horseshoe Conference, the Fort Erie Meteors the fifth place position. For current standings see the GOJHL website: http://www.gojhl.ca/view/gojhl

The Pelham Panthers are home again on Tuesday Jan. 19th against the Ancaster Avalanche. This is a rescheduled game from the beginning of the season.
