Home health and improvement at home and garden show

The Fonthill and District Kinsman Club 23rd Annual Home and Garden Show is this weekend at the Pelham Arena. Vendors are ready to talk about helping you make the right additions to your home. Around the Enviro-Niagara Group display, the conversation Saturday was about selecting the right barbecue as the season for outdoor cooking is rapidly approaching.

If home is where the heart is and a health heart is important, then a great step for your home health this weekend is a visit to the 23rd Annual Fonthill and District Kinsman Club Home and Garden Show.

The annual show sponsored by Mountainview Homes and the Enviro-Niagara Group is a one-stop shop place to find the vendors and contractors that you need when it comes to home improvement as well as self-improvement.

“It’s an awesome day here,” Ryan McKay, Public Relations Chair Fonthill and District Kinsman Club said. “There’s lots of people coming through checking out the vendors and enjoying the day.”

The annual event is a major fundraiser for the Kinsman Club.

“All money raised at the gate goes towards helping out the community through Pelham Cares,” McKay said. “We also make donations to other organizations (sports and other charities) in the community, so, all money stays in the community.”

On site there are vendors that can help with home improvement, contractors in case you need something major done to your home and there are also vendors that will help with self-improvement/personal health.

One of the special features this year that is attracting a lot of attention is a Jet Dragster for people to see.

“We like to try something fresh each year,” McKay said.

The show continues Sunday Apr. 22/2018 at the Pelham Arena from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
