Regarded as one of the most entertaining musicians in Canada, famed jazz pianist Michael Kaeshammer will headline Niagara Jazz Festival’s 2015 Flagship event Friday, July 24 at Jackson-Triggs Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
In its second year, the festival runs July 23 to 26.
The July 24 flagship event is presented as part of the Jackson-Triggs Summer Concert Series. Tickets for Kaeshammer are available at www.greatestatesniagara and Niagara Jazz Festival weekend passes are available at www.niagarajazzfestival.com.
“We are thrilled to announce Michael Kaeshammer as the headliner for the flagship event of our 2015 festival,” said Juliet Dunn, executive director of the Niagara Jazz Festival.
“We had an exceptional launch in 2014, and we wanted to elevate the Niagara Jazz Festival to an even higher level in our second year,” said Dunn in a release.
The festival presents the finest Canadian and internationally acclaimed jazz musicians by way of concerts, wine, craft beer, and culinary packages, and free performances throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake and selected locations throughout Niagara.
Kaeshammer, described as a gifted and hard-working world-class musician who connects with any concert-hall audience as though he was entertaining guests in his living room, specializes in the boogie-woogie style of piano combined with jazz, blues, stride, rock n’ roll, and more.
