Jr. B Panthers win 5 – 2 over Regals

Pelham Panthers LogoThe Pelham Panthers earned a 5 – 2 win over the visiting Buffalo Regals Sunday Oct. 8/2017 in GOJHL hockey action in Pelham.

Buffalo’s Nash Braun led off the scoring late in the first period with a power play goal at 15:41 assisted by Joseph Trifone and Jeremy Ross. About a minute later, Pelham’s Thomas Young tied it up with an unassisted goal. Brenden Bouvier took it ahead one for Pelham at 18:02, assists went to Matthew Reynolds and Matt Ruigrok. Buffalo’s Logan Gare tied it up at two each at 19:27, assists went to Jeremy Ienco and Joseph Trifone.

There was no scoring in the second period.

In the third period Pelham scored three unanswered goals for the win. Noah Caperchione connected at 11:52 assisted by ach Thompson. Caperchione connected again at 13:16 assisted by London Murray. Connor Brown added the fifth goal at 13:46 assisted by Matt Ruigrok and Thomas Young.

Pelham’s next action is Saturday Oct. 14/2017 when the travel to Fort Erie to take on the Meteors before returning to home ice Sunday Oct. 15/2017 against the Ancaster Avalanche.
