Meteors fall 5 – 1  to Corvairs

The Fort Erie Meteors fell to the visiting Caledonia Corvairs Saturday Jan. 6/2018 in GOJHL hockey action in their first action after a holiday break.

The first period ended in a scoreless tie. By the end of the second period, both teams had one goal each.

Joshua DeFarias connected first for the Corvairs on the power play at 10:13, assisted by Jamey Lauzon and Bobby Harrison. Marco Lariccia scored Fort Erie’s goal at 13:34 with assists going to Drew Passero and Luca Mazzo.

In the third period, Caledonia scored four unanswered goals for the 5 – 1 win. The goals came from Owen Lane for two, Cal Dais and Jack Wieringa.

The Fort Erie Meteors next hockey action is Friday Jan. 12/2018 in Niagara Falls against the Canucks then Saturday Jan. 13/2018 they are at home against the Thorold Blackhawks.
