Meteors shutout Regals with 7-0 win

The Fort Erie Meteors picked up a 7-0 win Saturday night against the Buffalo Regals in GOJHL hockey action in Fort Erie.

Bryan Zarowski scored the lone goal in the first period for the Meteors on the power play at 5:55 assisted by Daylon Groulx and Andrew Somerville.

Daylon Groulx led the Meteors second period scoring on the power play at 2:16, assisted by Spencer Sullivan and Cail Cirillo. Andrew Somerville added their third goal on the power play at 6:07, assited by Bryan Zurowski and Jesse Burger. Daylon Goulx added his second of the night at 12:45, assisted by Garrett Jennings and Andrew Somerville.

With a solid 4-0 lead, the Meteors added three more goals in the third period. The first came at 2:10 on the power play from Andrew Somerville, his second of the evening, assisted by Jacob Broughton and Spencer Sullivan. Cody Petawabano added their sixth goal on the power play at 6:46, assisted by Mike Masotti. Daylon Groulx added his hat trick goal on the power play at 15:46, assisted by Andrew Somerville.

Fort Erie netminder Shayne Battler picked up the shutout.
