Multiple arrests made in Niagara drug investigation

The Niagara Regional Police Service has charged four Niagara people with a total of 13 charges in relation to t drug investigation that began in early 2018.

The list of persons and charges are:

Matthew Baltzis, 25 years, of St. Catharines
– Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA
– Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000 355(b) CC

Scott Clapp, 53 years, of Welland
– Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA
– Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000 355(b) CC

Nicholas Keighan-Scordino, 20 years, of Niagara Falls
– Breach of Recognizance 145(3) CC x 3
– Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA
– Possession of Benzodiazepine for the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA
– Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under 355(b) CC

Charlene Pizzi, 19-years, of Niagara Falls
– Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA
– Possession of Benzodiazepine for the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA
– Possession of Proceeds of Crime 355(b) CC

“As a result of the investigation police seized a quantity of cocaine, benzodiazepine and marijuana valued at about $21,000,” a Niagara Regional Police Service press release said Saturday May 12/2018. “Police also seized currency and related trafficking paraphernalia. A 2011 Hyundai Genesis automobile was also seized as offence related property.”

Keighan-Scordino faced a bail hearing Friday, Baltiz, Clapp and Pizzi were released from custody with a future court date.
