The Fort Erie Meteors found themselves on the losing end as the Niagara Falls Canucks beat them 7-2 during GOJHL action Saturday night in Fort Erie.

Tanner Brown of the Canucks opened up the evening’s scoring at 2:57 in the first period, assisted by Dominic Rinaldi and Cesare Caldaroni. Phillip added a second one for the Canucks at 5:10, assisted by Luke Laurin. Patrick McCabe banged in their third goal at 15:03, assisted by Phillip Chadder and Ted Davis scored on the power play at 17:10, assisted by Zach Moore, to give them a solid 4-0 lead. At 18:41 in the first period, Mike Masotti put Fort Erie on the scoreboard, assisted by Cody Petawabano and Jesse Burger.

Fort Erie led off the second period scoring with their final goal of the game at 10:39 from Cail Cirillo, assisted by Danny Katic and Daylon Groulx. The Canuacks added two more to their total, one from Harrsion Cottam, assisted by Michael Arch at 13:41 and the other from Luke Laurin on the power play at 16:08, assisted by Harrison Cottam and Jag Masters.

The Canucks scored the only goal of the third period, Michael Arch connected on a late period power play at 17:50, assisted by Harrison Cottam and Dillon Hill.

The Fort Erie Meteors are in action tonight in Welland against the Junior Canadians and home again next Saturday Oct. 15 against the Pelham Panthers.
