NRPS seeking suspects in Thorold nightclub shooting

NRP LogoThe Niagara Regional Police Service is looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a shooting that injured five people.

“At approximately 4:45am on Sunday September 3rd, 2017, Niagara Regional Police officers were called to L8 nightclub on Highway 20 with reports of gunshots in the area,” a Niagara Regional Police Service press release said.

The original release stated that there were three victims, an update said that there were two more victims. All received non-life threatening injuries and have received treatment at the local hospital.

In total there were four males and one female victim.

The investigation revealed that the shots were fired from a vehicle leaving the club area.

Several vehicles in the parking lot were also damaged.

“Police are actively searching for 2 suspects who fled in a dark coloured sedan,” the release said. “Any witnesses are asked to contact detectives with 1 District Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) at (905) 688-4111 ext. 4233.”
