Panthers fall 6 – 1 to Corvairs

The Pelham Panthers lost 6 – 1 against the visiting first place Caledonia Corvairs in Pelham in GOJHL hockey action Sunday Jan. 21/2018.

The Corvairs took a two goal lead in the first period and extended it to a 6 – 0 lead by the end of the second period.

Caledonia’s goals came from Eddie Schulz, Jeff Lindsay, Sean O’Brien, Mark Bzowey, Adam Craievich and Andrew Burns.

Pelham’s Chad Maurice put them on the scoreboard late in the third period, assisted by Noah Caperchione and Nicholas Kidd.

In action earlier in the week, the Pelham Panther lost 5 – 4 to the Thorold Blackhawks in the second overtime period in Thorold Thursday Jan. 18/2018.

Pelham’s goals came from: Peter Izzo, Bryce Hoggard, Chris Webber and Thomas Young. Thorold’s goals came from Matt Maidens, Trevor Neumann, Mitch Britton and Spencer Blackwell for two including the game winner in the second overtime period.
