Panthers take first round over Blackhawks in Game Six

The Pelham Panthers have taken the best-of-seven first round of GOJHL Golden Horseshoe Conference over the Thorold Blackhawks with a 9 – 2 win in Thorlod in game six on Thursday, March 7/2019.

The first period ended with Pelham ahead 1 – 0, Dylan Biggar netting the lone goal.

At the end of the second period, it was 4 – 2 for the Panthers. Panther goals came from Chrise Webber, Wyatt Thole and Dylan Biggar. Thorold’s goals were scored by Evan Miller and Nicholas Rubino.

Pelham netted five unanswered goals in the third period. Goal scorers were: Wyatt Thole for two (hat trick for the night), Owen Allan, Thomas Young and Adam Scholz.

The Panthers took the first three games, however, Thorold took game four and game five, the Panthers ahead three games to two going into game six.
