Niagara Regional Police seized more than $1,000 in crystal meth, $230 in Canadian and American currency, and various items used to traffick drugs when they raided a heavily-fortified Port Colborne home Tuesday.
Police said uniform officers in Port Colborne and members of the Welland Street Crime Unit received information in early February about a Port Colborne male selling crystal meth in the
East Village area of the city.
A controlled drug and substance act search warrant was carried out Tuesday on the Welland St. home, which was equipped with video surveillance.
Once inside the home, they found the drugs, money and other items.
Police arrested Kyle Phillips, 29, and charged him with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.
Phillips was being held in custody pending a bail hearing Wednesday.
