Something for everyone at Marshville Heritage Festival

What keeps bringing the families back year-after-year to Marshville Heritage Festival? Old-fashioned family fun with something for everyone.

“We truly have something for everyone in the family to enjoy,” Marshville Heritage Festival committee member Brian Heaslip said.

“I think we enjoy success every year because we do focus on family,” he said. “We have kids programming and stuff for the adults too.”

“We don’t have beer tents and carnival rides for the kids,” he said. “We’re quite proud of that.”

The festival does have everything, interesting and interactive historical displays, children’s entertainment and adult music too. There’s food as well, ranging from hamburgers and poutine to old-fashioned apple treats, crafts for the shoppers and more.

It’s not uncommon to see several generations of families visiting the festival as well as volunteering at the festival.

“There’s no real one thing that draws everyone out,” Heaslip said. “Many people come out for the quality of the crafts available, other people come out for the history portion of the weekend and the kids, of course, come out for the kids programming, we have really good performers for the kids.”

The fun continues Monday, Sept. 2/2019 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $6.00, children under 10 free.

Vintage motorcycles will be on display Monday along with all the other historical displays, entertainment, and craft show.
