St. Catharines drug investigation leads to two arrests

NRP LogoNiagara Regional Police Service press release – In the summer of 2019, Detectives from the #1 District Street Crime Unit commenced an investigation into drug trafficking in St.Catharines.

On August 21/2019 Detectives were granted judicial authorization under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act to search two locations in the City of St.Catharines.

As a result of these search warrants, Detectives seized $18,000 in fentanyl,$7,800 in cocaine, and over $13,000 in Canadian currency.

Charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance, 1 count of possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000, and one count of fail to comply with recognizance is 29-year-old Rishanne Stampp of Toronto.

Charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance and 1 count of possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000 is 28-year-old Maria Parisi of Aurora.

Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing on August 22nd.
