Surfing Santa, aka, John Fulton, was on the Niagara River Monday, Dec. 23/2019, the 35th year for the event, to help people who may find themselves in need this time of year.

Every year, Fulton has dressed as Santa, he used to windsurf on Lake Erie, now he paddleboards 15 km down the Niagara River from the Peace Bridge and ending in Niagara Falls.

“The Surfing Santa Underwear Drive collects new and used socks, underwear, bras, underpants, shoes, boots, foil blankets, sleeping bags and toiletries for the less fortunate in Niagara,” the Surfing Santa website says.
