Wind warning in effect for South Niagara

wind warning graphicEnvironment Canada has issued a wind warning for South Niagara Tuesday Apr. 3/2018, gusting winds expected to start later this evening and pick up overnight.

“Wind becoming southeast 20 km/h gusting to 40 early this evening, the warning said.“Very strong westerly winds are expected to develop across the region early Wednesday morning. Winds gusts as high as 100 km/h are possible especially near Lake Erie,” the warning says.

It also says that there is a risk of thunderstorms beginning later tonight and after midnight. Rainfall amounts could be between 15 to 25 mm.

Flurries could develop Wednesday afternoon as well the warning says.
